My Account

Create an Account

By creating an account and saving your information, you will be able to:
 
  • Checkout faster
  • Review past order details
  • Save frequently used addresses
  • View your Wish List
  • Check your eGift Card balance 
  • Create a Baby Gift Registry
  • Get the latest on new arrivals and sales

 

To create an account you must have a valid email address.  If you'd like to create an account now and enjoy these benefits, click on the My Account link at the top of the page, and then click Create Account.  As part of our registration process, you will be asked to provide the following information:
 
  • Your name, address, phone number and e-mail address
  • A password

Create a Baby Gift Registry

Log in to your account.  If you have not created an account yet, click on the My Account link at the top of the page, and then click Create Account.
 
  • Once you are logged into your account, click on the Gift Registry link.
  • Click the Create My Gift Registry button.
  • Enter the Registry Name, Event Date, Password, and Personal Message.
  • If you would like your friends to be able to send gifts directly to your address, check the Ship To My Address checkbox. Click on the link to choose the address you would like the gifts shipped to.
  • Click Save My Registry.

Add Products to the Baby Gift Registry

Once you have created your baby gift registry, you can begin to add your products.  Make sure you are logged into your account.
 
  • On the website, click on any product you would like to add.
  • Click on the Add to Gift Registry link.
  • Your Products list will display with your newly added item.

Send Notification of Baby Gift Registry

Once you have chosen all of your products for the baby gift registry, you can send notification to your friends and family to direct them to your baby gift registry.
 
  • On the website, go to the My Account link.
  • Log in to your account if you are not logged in already.
  • Click on the View Details link in the Baby Gift Registry section.
  • In the Send Email section, type in the email addresses of your friends you would like to send notification to.
  • Click Preview Message if you would like to see a sample of what the email notification will look like.
  • Click Send Email.

Search/Access a Baby Gift Registry

To search and access a friend’s registry:
 
  • On the website, go to the Baby Gift Registry link.
  • In the Search a Friend’s Registry section type the Title of the registry, the Event Date, the First Name, and/or the Last Name of your friend.
  • Click Search Registry.
  • Click on the View This Registry button next to your friend’s gift registry.
  • Enter the Password for the registry. This was given to you in the notification email.
  • Click View This Registry.

The registrant’s product list will display and you can begin to add items to your shopping cart and checkout.

Create a Wish List

To add an item to your wish list:
 
  • On the store website, click on any product.
  • Click on the Add to Wish List link.
  • If you have not created an account, you will be prompted to register for one.  If you already have an account, you will be prompted to log in to your existing account if you are not already.
  • Once you register or log into your account, you can click on the Add to Wish List link to add the item.

View Your Wish List

You can return to the store at any time to view your wish list.
 
  • On the website, click on the My Account link.
  • If you have not logged into your account, the system will prompt you to do so.
  • Once logged in, click on the View Details link next to the My Wish List section.
  • The wish list will display and you can either modify it by deleting items or click on the Add to Cart button to purchase the item.

Email Unsubscribing

If you no longer wish to receive email newsletters, you can unsubscribe by clicking “Unsubscribe” on any of our emails.
 
Please note that if you unsubscribe from our email newsletters, you will still receive order-related emails, including order confirmations and shipping confirmations.  We may also contact you by email regarding any questions related to your order or any contests or promotions you enter.

Managing Your Account

You can manage your personal information, including your email address, password, or address book at any time.  Simply log into your account and click on the Update Address link.  Select an area you wish to update and then click Update My Information to save your changes.

Account/User Name

Your account (or user) name is your e-mail address.

Forgotten Password

If you have an account and have forgotten your password, we can provide it for you.  Click on the My Account link at the top of the page and go to Forgot My Password.  Simply enter your email address and click Retrieve My Password.  If that email address is in our database, the system will send an email with a new temporary password.  Please be sure to change your password once you have re-logged into your account.

Your Shopping Cart

As you add items to your shopping cart, we will display the number of items in your cart at the top of the page.  To see the items you have added to your cart, simply click on View Cart at the top right hand corner of your screen.

Size Chart

Caliboo Hats offers four (4) sizes from newborn to two years.
 
Age Finished Hat Size, Circumference (in/cm)
0 - 3 months 15.0 - 15.5" / 38.1 - 39.4 cm
3 - 6 months 16.0 - 16.5" / 40.6 - 41.9 cm
6 - 12 months 17.0 - 17.5" / 43.2 - 44.5 cm
1 - 2 years 18.0 - 18.5" / 45.7 - 47.0 cm
 
Industry standard for baby apparel is to use age as the size, but it is important to measure your child as it is possible to have an older child that still needs a smaller size, or conversely a younger child that needs to go up a size.
 
Also keep in mind when the baby will be wearing the hat.  For example, if you want to purchase a wool beanie for a baby who is 8 months old in the summertime, we recommend you purchase the 1-2 years size hat to ensure a proper fit in the winter when she will likely wear the wool hat.
 
To order the correct size, measure the circumference of your baby’s head with a tape measure and compare it with the size chart above.  If you don't have a measuring tape on hand, simply use a piece of ribbon or string and line it up against a yardstick.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
 
If you are looking for a size to fit a preemie, or another special baby, we will be happy to create a custom sized hat for you.  Please contact us with your request.

Colours

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products.  The same identical colour however can look differently from one computer monitor to the next. 
 
Also, please note that yarn colour can vary across dye lots.  If the hat you ordered isn't the colour you want, you can return it within 45 days of the order date.  Please see our Returns policy for more information.

Purchasing and Ordering

Placing an Order

When you are done shopping, click Proceed to Checkout.  All of the items in your shopping cart appear in your order during checkout.  If you don't want to order all of the items, click View Cart at the top of the page and then edit the items in your shopping cart.  When you are done, click Proceed to Checkout.
 
If you are not already logged into your account, you may log in at Order Checkout.  You may also purchase without logging into an account.
 
At Order Checkout, you will be asked to provide:
 
  • Your billing information (must be the address associated with your credit card),
  • Your e-mail address,
  • The address you want to ship to,
  • Your preferred shipping method,
  • Your Caliboo Hats eGift Card number (if applicable),
  • Your payment method, and
  • Any comments (optional).
 
Once you have finished entering in your information at order checkout, please review your order for accuracy.  If no changes are necessary, click Place Your Order to complete your purchase.  You will receive an email confirming that your order has been received within approximately 24 hours.  We will send you another email to notify you when your order has been shipped and that we've charged your credit card.

Multiple Shipping Addresses

You can only ship to one address each time you checkout.  If you are shopping for people at different addresses, you will need to place each order separately.

eGift Cards

Ordering eGift Cards

Caliboo Hats offers electronic gift cards in four (4) denominations: $25, $50, $100, or $200.
 
To place an order for a Caliboo Hats eGift Card:
 
  • Click on the Gift Cards product category on the left menu bar,
  • Click on Caliboo Hats eGift Cards,
  • Select the denomination(s) you wish to send,
  • Choose the quantity,
  • Enter your name and the recipient's name and email address,
  • Enter a special greeting or message to be sent with your eGift Card (optional),
  • Click Add to Shopping Cart, and
  • Proceed to Checkout
 
The Caliboo Hats eGift Card will be sent to the recipient's email address.

Using eGift Cards

 
To redeem Caliboo Hats eGift Cards, simply enter the eGift Card number into the box at Order Checkout and click GO!  The balance on your eGift Card, up to the purchase amount, will be applied to your purchase.

Checking Your eGift Card Balance

 
If you are registered with us, you may check the balance on your Caliboo Hats eGift Card by logging into your account. 
 
If you don't have an account with us, then you may check the balance on your Caliboo Hats eGift Card in two ways:
 
  • Click on View Cart (at least one item must be added to your shopping cart), enter the eGift Card number into the box and then click GO!
  • At Order Checkout, enter the eGift Card number into the box and click GO!  Click on View Details to view the original value and remaining balance on your eGift Card.

Shipping and Handling

Caliboo Hats ships anywhere in Canada or the United States.  We offer real-time shipping (rates automatically calculated based on the delivery address) with Canada Post/USPS and UPS to satisfy your individual shipping needs.

Orders are processed Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) once credit card authorization and verification have been obtained.  As most of our products are made in-house, we ask that you allow 1-2 days to process your order.  We endeavour to meet same day shipping, but it is not always possible.
 
Please note that delivery to rural routes and remote locations may take 7 – 14 business days depending on the shipping service selected.

Order Status

Order Confirmation

You will receive two emails after you place your order and provide us with a valid email address:
 
  1. The first confirms that your order was received. This email will arrive within about 24 hours.
  2. The second confirms that your order was shipped.

Change in Your Order Status

Occasionally, high demand causes us to run out of certain items.  If we don't have an item that you have ordered in stock, we will notify you by email immediately.

Order Tracking

Tracking numbers are offered when you select Canada Post Expedited, Canada Post Xpresspost, or UPS Standard for your shipping method.  Canada Post Small Packet services do not offer tracking numbers.
 
If you selected a shipping service that offers tracking numbers, you will be emailed an order tracking number once your order has shipped.  You will need to visit www.CanadaPost.ca or www.UPS.com to enter your tracking number and track your order.
 
If you are registered with us, you can also check the status of your order by logging into your account.

Changes, Returns and Exchanges

Changes and Cancellations

If you would like to cancel or change your order, please call 1-403-273-6726 as soon as possible.  We will do everything we can to accommodate your request.  Please bear in mind that our order-fulfillment and shipping systems are designed to get orders on their way quickly and efficiently.  Therefore, we cannot change or cancel an order once it has entered the shipping process.  Please refer to our Returns policy for information on returning or exchanging items you have ordered.
 
Please note that if you cancel an item that qualified you for a special deal, you may no longer receive that promotion.

Returns and Exchanges

We want you to love what you ordered, but if something isn't right, let us know.  We will give you a refund or exchange your item for another colour, size or style.  You can return or exchange any item that is in its original condition (unwashed and unworn) or defective within 45 days of your order date, unless it was purchased for final sale.  There are no returns or exchanges on final sale merchandise.  Please note that shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
 
To return a purchase, please follow the instructions below:
 
  • Log into your account
  • Go to the Track Your Recent Orders section
  • Click on the View Details link for the order you would like to initiate the RMA
  • Click on Add New RMA
  • Choose the number of items you want to return in the Order Items section
  • Choose the Reason and Method for the return in the Order Return Options section
  • Add comments in the Comments section (optional)
  • Click Save RMA
 
Once you have completed this process, you will receive an email with important instructions.  Please do NOT ship the item(s) until you receive an authorization email from us.  Your item(s) must be returned in the original package, with your RMA number on the return label of your package.  Be sure the RMA number is clearly visible on the OUTSIDE of the package the product is being shipped back to us in.

Care Instructions

We make it easy to care for our products.  All accessories are removable.  Please remove the clip before washing, then simply hand wash your Caliboo Hat or Headwrap in luke warm water with mild soap, rinse and lay flat to dry.  This will prevent shrinkage and keep your Caliboo Hat or Headwrap in new condition.
